Colorado microdissection needles
Having a finer and more precise tip, the Colorado needle is made of tungsten which has the particularity to withstand the highest melting temperature (3410°C). Thus, the needle tip remains strong and sharp even when operating at high temperatures, whereas the effectiveness of other brands of needles decreases at such temperatures. The tungsten tip ensures a constant, high intensity heat concentration which allows for clean microdissection without affecting adjacent areas. These needles can be used in a variety of surgeries as they are available in different lengths and curvatures.
